Women-Owned Businesses Included in New US$50 Million Finance Programme

The Bank of Industry and IFC signed a US$50 million financing agreement on 3 November, with at least 25% of the loan proceeds earmarked for women-owned businesses. The seven-year facility is intended to expand finance for Nigerian MSMEs, although no separate HR or training budget was announced. The programme may create demand for business skills, workforce development and SME support services. HPC can help training providers and HR consultants build partnerships with participating businesses.
