Kazakhstan Plans 50 New Educational, Sports and Cultural Facilities

On 28 October, President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev announced that approximately 50 educational, sports and cultural facilities would be included in the first phase of the national People’s Construction programme. The wider social infrastructure allocation is 1.5 trillion tenge (approximately US$3.29 billion) for 2026 and the first two months of 2027; a separate budget for the 50 facilities has not yet been disclosed.
